Why Are My Typekit Fonts Not Showing Up?

If you’re looking to improve your brand’s look and feel, adding more visual flair can be a great way to differentiate yourself from the competition. But before you go out and buy a font or sign up for a subscription, there are some important things to know about your options, so you can make the best decision for your business.

Adobe Typekit gives you access to a vast library of more than 2,450+ fonts, including more than 5,660 downloadable ones for offline marketing materials. It’s a fantastic resource for any designer who wants to use beautiful, professional fonts on their site and in offline marketing materials.

But if you’re not seeing the fonts you want to use on your website, there may be some trouble. You might see an error message like “fonts not found” or simply the message that says you’re missing some “missing fonts.”

The first thing to do is log in to your Adobe Creative Cloud account and confirm that the fonts you want to use are active (and activated). You can do this by logging into your Creative Cloud desktop app, then clicking on Assets > Fonts. Once you’ve done this, click the big blue button that says “Browse Fonts From Typekit.”

You can also check your fonts on the Creative Cloud website. You can find this by clicking on the Creative Cloud icon in the upper left of your screen near the clock. Then you’ll need to login with your Adobe ID.

If you’re still not able to get your typekit fonts to show up, it could be because you’re using a different version of the software than you’re supposed to. For example, if you’re using an older version of Photoshop, it might not support the fonts you’ve downloaded from Adobe Typekit.

Another possibility is that you’ve used a font that wasn’t installed correctly or in the correct format. For instance, you might have downloaded a zip file from Adobe that contains a font format that isn’t supported by InDesign. This will cause an error, so you’ll need to download the correct font.

This is a common problem, but it’s not a hard fix. There are a few ways to solve it:

1. Open your document and see what the fonts look like.

When you open a document in InDesign, a dialog box will appear that shows what each text block looks like. If there’s any text that doesn’t have the correct font, you will see an error message or a pink highlight that says “missing fonts.”

2. Double-click on each of the missing words in the document to open the missing word’s context menu and select the word.

You’ll then be able to change the default font or replace it with one of your own.

3. Create a custom preflight profile for your InDesign document.

If you’re having trouble getting your typekit fonts to show up in InDesign, you might try creating a custom preflight profile for your document. This will allow InDesign to read the fonts and display them correctly.
