What Is the Shortcut Key For Recycle Bin?

The recycle bin is a feature that Windows offers its users to view deleted files. However, some people find it difficult to use this feature because it does not have a desktop icon.

The good news is that there are several ways you can access the Recycle Bin without having a desktop icon. Here are some of them:

Ctrl + Alt + R

The Recycle Bin is a convenient feature that stores files and folders that are deleted from your computer. This means that they’ll still occupy space on your hard drive until you permanently delete them.

To remove a file or folder from the Recycle Bin, click on it and press the Delete key or right-click on it and select Delete. When deleting, the Recycle Bin will ask you to confirm that you want to remove it.

Alternatively, you can use the Recycle Bin to restore files that are accidentally removed from the hard drive. If you do this, the Recycle Bin will display a list of files that you can choose from to be restored to their original location on the hard drive.

In Windows 11 and 10, you can add the Recycle Bin to the Quick Access section in File Explorer, which makes it easier to find. The Recycle Bin will also be one-click away from the File Explorer shortcuts on the taskbar.

Ctrl + Shift + R

The Windows Recycle Bin is a useful feature that lets you restore files and folders that were accidentally deleted from the system. The Recycle Bin is also a good way to free up hard drive space when it’s full, especially if you have lots of large files or folders in it.

The Recycle Bin can be found by opening File Explorer and typing recycle bin in the address bar. This will bring up a menu where you can access the Recycle Bin directly.

You can also add the Recycle Bin to the Quick access menu in File Explorer by dragging and dropping it onto this menu. The shortcut will then appear on this menu in the right pane.

Ctrl + F

A computer’s recycle bin is a special folder that contains files and folders that users delete temporarily from their computers. These deleted files are then placed in the recycle bin for a certain period of time before being permanently removed from the system.

This way, you can restore these deleted files to their original locations if needed. It is possible to do this by either dragging them out of the recycle bin and into another folder, or by using the Restore option in the recycle bin window.

Often times, we use Ctrl + F (also known as Control+F, f, and C-f) to launch a finding box so that we can quickly locate a specific character, word, or phrase in a document, web page, or search result.

This shortcut key also works as a Windows taskbar hotkey or icon to open the Recycle Bin. However, a desktop shortcut for this taskbar icon or hotkey isn’t available by default in Windows 11, and it can be frustrating.

Ctrl + E

The recycle bin is a folder that stores deleted files and folders. This is a handy feature, as it allows you to quickly get rid of unwanted files without permanently deleting them.

This is a great way to save space on your PC, but it can be a hassle to keep track of all the deleted items. Fortunately, Windows lets you open the recycle bin from File Explorer.

You can also use the Windows search feature to locate the recycle bin, but it’s a little more complicated.

Alternatively, you can pin the Recycle Bin to the Start Menu. You can do this by right-clicking the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and selecting Pin to Start from the context menu.
