Sean O’Malley and Andrew Tate

One of the most talked about athletes in the UFC these days is bantamweight contender Sean O’Malley. O’Malley is currently on a three-fight win streak, with all three of his bouts coming in the form of knockouts. His latest victory came in the form of a viral knockout over Thomas Almeida. The win over Almeida put him into contention for a title shot. However, there has been some controversy over his association with Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer who is well-known for his controversial opinions about women and misogyny.

While some have blasted the association of the two, others have been excited to see a world of kickboxing collide in Abu Dhabi. For example, some of the biggest names in the sport have been spotted with Tate during his time in the UAE, including Jake Paul, Aljamain Sterling, and Leon Edwards.

On the flip side, Tate has also been the subject of some controversial smear campaigns. He has been accused of extreme misogyny, as well as being a part of an organized crime group. In April of 2022, his mansion was raided by the Romanian authorities as part of a human trafficking investigation. If convicted, both he and his brother Tristan could face up to twenty years in prison.

Despite the controversy, there have been a few things that both Tate and O’Malley have said about each other. O’Malley has said that he believes Tate isn’t on a “dark path” like some have suggested. Additionally, he has defended him, as Tate has taken on some negative criticism in the wake of his arrest.

It has been a long road for Tate to get back on his feet. He was banned from Facebook and Instagram for a while, and has a number of fans that are irked by his comments on women. Still, the former kickboxer has managed to garner a fair amount of support from a large number of fans. At the same time, there has been some anger from those who have a more negative view of him, especially because of his recent arrest.

Before his most recent arrest, however, Tate was seen meeting with several UFC fighters, including Suga’ Sean O’Malley, Jake Paul, and Leon Edwards. While the UFC hasn’t released an official statement on the matter, many have been quick to pounce on Tate for his controversial views on women and misogyny. Other than that, he has hosted meet-and-greets with his fans at Khan’s gym in Dubai.

Recently, Andrew Tate has been spotted with a number of social media influencers. Although he has not yet confirmed any of these reports, he has stated that he will not be speaking with any social media influencers after his arrest.

Several UFC fighters have been spotted with Andrew Tate during his time in the UAE. Leon Edwards and Aljamain Sterling have been pictured with him, as have Jake Paul and Tim Welch.

As O’Malley prepares for his next bout, he will have the chance to take on former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan. Whether or not he beats Yan, the fight will mark the beginning of a pivotal period in his MMA career.
