Is School the Best Days of Your Life?

If you’ve ever heard the remark “is school the best days of your life” it probably came from someone who never went to school. But if you’re an adult, or have been in school recently, then it might be time to reconsider this common saying and consider whether it really is true.

1. You don’t have to be perfect to be a good student

There’s nothing wrong with having high standards, as long as you don’t let it control your life or your behavior. If you’re struggling to achieve your academic goals, try talking with your teacher or counselor about ways to improve.

2. You make a lot of friends during your school years

Being in a class with people you enjoy being around is one of the most rewarding aspects of school. You’ll learn to build friendships with people who will stick by you and be there for you through thick and thin, no matter what.

3. You learn about yourself

At school you develop a personality and you learn the things that make you happy. You’ll discover your tastes in music, clothes and what makes you laugh. It’s a great place to explore who you are and what your interests are, and it can even help you decide which college or job to apply for when you leave school.

4. You get to experience the world outside of your classroom

Another thing you’ll do while in school is travel. Getting to travel outside of your home and see the world is a big deal for many students. It helps them grow up and become more cosmopolitan, and it also can help them make new friends and have fun in a different environment.

5. You get to take part in lots of fun events

There are tons of fun things to do while you’re in school, like the school fest or sports day. These events can help you bond with your friends and make you feel proud of what you have accomplished.

6. You meet people from all over the world

If you’re lucky, your school will also have trips to other countries. Whether it’s to the Middle East, South America or Australia, you’ll see a new part of the world and experience things you would have never otherwise seen.

7. You get to make a lot of new friends

You’ll make friends with people from all over the world and you will be friends with them for life. This is a big reason why you should go to school regularly.

10. You get to learn about yourself

Being in a class with people you love is one of the most rewarding aspects of school. Your friends will teach you about who you are and what you enjoy, and you’ll learn about yourself through this process.

Your mates will be there for you no matter what and you’ll have loads of fun laughing together.

You get to have your first taste of independence as a teenager and you’ll be learning how to live without parental supervision. It might not be easy at first, but you’ll soon find yourself enjoying your independence and being able to do the things you want to do on your own.
