How to Spot a Fake B. Simon Belt

There are a few signs to look out for to determine if you’re buying a fake b.b. Simon belt. One of the most obvious is that it’s missing the company’s signature logo on the back of the buckle. You can also look for the indentation pattern, which is found on the buckle’s front or back. You should look for either the old style with one indentation, or the newer style with multiple indentation.

One of the hallmarks of a real b.b. Simon belt is the production code. Modern belts will typically have a QR code or embossed logo in gold. Modern ones will also have a matte black background and a flat back print. Sometimes, the leather may have a crease in it, or a small indentation in it. In vintage belts, metal pieces may also be visible on the inside of the leather, but only if they’re attached to a large decorative piece.
