If you’re trying to change the time on your G-Shock watch, you may have to go through a few steps. First, you need to press the mode button. Then, select the city you wish to change to. Your G-Shock watch will then change its time zone accordingly.
If you live in an area that doesn’t observe Daylight Saving Time, you’ll have to change the time on your watch manually. While some watches come with Auto DST settings, they are not always compatible with this feature. In those cases, you will have to follow the steps below to manually set the time on your watch.
Once you’ve selected your time zone, you’ll need to select DST or BST. This will advance your time by one hour from Standard Time. When you’re on BST, you’ll see a display with 0:00 and 1:00. You’ll also need to select a second parameter to set daylight savings time.
G-Shock watches typically have four or five buttons. In addition to the mode button, you’ll find a TPE abbreviation. You’ll need to press the adjust button for a few seconds in order to change the time zone on your G-Shock.
Some G-Shock models have atomic timekeeping that allows them to update themselves automatically. These watch models will receive a signal from six atomic clocks around the world to keep accurate time. To use the atomic timekeeping feature, you’ll need to place the watch near a window in a non-smoking area. It should find a signal within about 12 minutes. You should not use the watch while it’s listening for the signal.
