How to Add Tickets to Apple Wallet

If you’re a big concert-goer or frequent ticket buyer, chances are that you have a bunch of tickets in your Wallet. The iPhone Wallet app allows you to add digital passes, boarding passes, coupons, and more, making it easy to keep track of all your important cards in one place.

When you buy tickets online, the merchant may give you a choice to either scan a barcode or QR code on your phone or add them to Apple Wallet by email. It’s a good idea to make sure your tickets are added to Wallet before you go.

Adding a boarding pass or ticket to Wallet is simple and straightforward, even if you don’t have a barcode or QR code on your ticket. It works for nearly all airlines and most tickets sold online.

The first step is to open the Wallet app, which is usually on your Home Screen. If you don’t have it, you can download it from the App Store.

Once in the Wallet app, you’ll see a menu called Boarding Passes and Tickets All in One. Tap it to view a list of your stored passes, or tap a card if you have one to see its details and recent transactions.

For a traditional paper ticket, you can scan a barcode on the paper itself or add a PDF to Apple Wallet in just a few taps. If your ticket doesn’t have a barcode, you can install a third-party tool to create a PassKit Package that can be uploaded to Wallet in less than two minutes.

You can also add a ticket to Wallet by sending it to yourself via the Mail or Messages app, or by using AirDrop to share it with others. This is the best way to add a ticket to your Wallet because you can access it any time, anywhere, and it won’t clutter up your home screen.

If you buy tickets from an airline, your tickets can be added to your Wallet by scanning a barcode on your phone or emailing the ticket to yourself. This is the easiest way to add a ticket, but you’ll need a computer or a smartphone with a camera to scan a QR code.

Many events, including concerts, festivals, and sports games, use a barcode or QR code for tickets. You can scan these codes at events with the Wallet app or on your phone with the Scan Code option in the Ticket section of the app.

Once you’ve scanned the code or attached the ticket to your email, you can add it to your Wallet by tapping the “Add to Apple Wallet” button in the confirmation page of the ticket purchase process. This is typically a black button with the Wallet icon on it, but the location of the button varies depending on the ticket type.

Some of these tickets are also sent to you by email as attachments in a PDF, which is a great way to save them in your Wallet without having to manually scan the barcode or QR code. Just follow the steps in the e-mail to add it to your Wallet.
