How Do I Change My Primary Email Address on Facebook?
If you have multiple email accounts registered with Facebook, it’s easy to change your primary Facebook account to another one. You’ll need to log into your Facebook account and navigate to the settings menu, then select Contact Info. Click Edit next to your current email address to expand the list and add another one to it.
You can also change your primary Facebook account on the go by using the mobile app, if you’re not logged in. To do this, open the Facebook app and log in with your current Facebook password. You’ll then be asked to enter a new email address and confirm that it’s correct. Once you’ve done this, the change will be permanent and the new email will become your primary email address on Facebook moving forward.

For students, the Handshake account is typically created with their school-provided email address as the default primary email. This is the email address where communications from the school will be sent, as well as Handshake notifications and marketing emails.
However, students can also add an alternate (personal) email address to their Handshake account and use this as their primary email. This is helpful if the school’s email address is blocked at your school or if you have a different email account that’s more convenient to use.
After adding an additional email, you can choose to make the new address your primary address by clicking on “Set as my default email” under “Account Settings.” This will take effect immediately and you’ll be able to log into your account with this new email going forward.
You can also change your primary email address in Google if you have more than one Gmail account set up with Chrome profiles. Alternatively, you can use the Google Chrome browser to create a separate profile for each Gmail account and log out of all other profiles.
IMPORTANT: You’ll only see this option if you’re an Office 365 global admin. If you’re not, you don’t have permission to change a user’s name and primary email address in the user’s Office 365 account. When you select Set as primary, a big yellow warning will appear to let you know that you’re about to change their sign-in information. This can take a while to process, so be patient.
