Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home Obituaries

A 40-year veteran of the funeral business, Findlay C. Wylie was a dedicated, hands-on businessman who took pride in every detail of his family-run business. His son now oversees the firm. The funeral director’s family is committed to giving families the information they need to make informed decisions regarding the funeral service.

After graduating from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1951, Mr. Wylie was drawn to the funeral profession. His cousin, who became the coroner of Butler County, influenced him to pursue the profession. He later served in Patton’s 3rd Army. Following his graduation, Mr. Wylie opened his own funeral home in Homewood-Brushton, and in 1960 he moved his family’s business to the location it is today.
