These gold-filled glasses have a thick layer of gold on the frames. These were made in the days when gold was cheaper and this thick plating is meant to last for years. These glasses are marked with 1/10 and 1/12K markings. The first one indicates that the frames are made of 10K gold, and the second one signifies that the frames are made of 12K gold.
