Are Furbies Dangerous?
When Mira’s Furby became mean, she was confused and scared. She wanted her cheery dancing toy back, but she was not sure how to go about getting it back. She was convinced that her Furby was possessed by a demon. She had no idea what that meant, but she didn’t want to play with it anymore.
It’s Not Demon-ish
While there are a few instances where a furby can turn into a demonic pet, the toy itself isn’t actually the demon. You can easily turn a furby off by clicking the “turn off” button, and it will stop talking or repeating things that you tell it.
It’s Not a Bugger
A furby’s language is only “Furbish” at first, but with time and interaction it will start to speak English. This is great for kids, but in some situations it can be dangerous.
It can also pick up bad words and use them in its conversations with other furbys. Many parents were worried about this, and some even reported that their furbys were picking up sexist or racist terms and saying them in front of their children.
They Can Leak Personal Information
If your furby has a built-in microphone, it can record your conversations and then store them on its hard drive. This is dangerous because it could potentially leak your private information to hackers. It’s also a good idea to set parental controls on the toy so that it can’t connect to internet networks or devices that could let it listen in on your conversations.
Besides being dangerous, furbys can also be extremely annoying for their owners. They can be hard to control, and they often repeat words or sounds that you don’t like.
They can also be dangerous if you give them a microwave, as it can cause them to go crazy and start speaking Furbish and screeching in the air. This can be a real problem, as some people have gotten into a fight with their furbys after they’ve been exposed to a microwave.

The most terrifying of all these long abominations is probably the one that looks like it has duck feet for hands, and resembles a giant egg! It’s not a bad idea to add these kind of features to your furby if you want to make it genuinely frightening, but there are plenty of other ways to go about making a long Furby even more horrifying.
